This mummy head is very grudgingly being de-accessioned from the Prehistoria Museum collection to raise funds for some urgent operational/renovation expenses and potential buyers will be vetted prior to shipping.

Mummy parts have become extremely difficult to source, but this piece was exported prior to the exportation ban. It was excavated by Robert R. Livingston in 1886-1887 and deaccessioned from the Harvard Semitic Museum in Massachusetts.

The skull inside has sustained damage and loss of bone over the millenium, but the bitumen, tissues and linens have held their original shape.
