Real, rare, Siberian Woolly Rhinoceros skull (Coelodonta antiquitatis) for sale! This extinct rhino suffered a significant injury to the back of its skull but, miraculously, survived!  You can see the lopsided regrowth of the bone at the back of the skull, where it's body had to recover from a serious blow to the head.

This woolly rhino lived a long life, as indicated by the major tooth wear and loss of several teeth in life.

Fossilized over the prior 20,000 years, this incredible extinct animal would make an amazing addition to any skull, oddity or paleontology collection!

This specimen was a centerpiece of the paleontology exhibit at the Prehistoria Museum for years, but has just been deaccessioned to raise funds for our operation costs and renovations.

We can ship this skull worldwide. Email BuySkulls@skullstore.ca for additional information, or payment arrangements. Please note: our website cannot automatically calculate shipping on items this large. We will communicate with buyers about their shipping options and costs as needed.

Early man would often depict these magnificent animals in their cave drawings, including in the famous French Chauvet Cave. Amazingly enough, this example of Ice Age Megafauna was only known to the modern world by these cave drawings until a largely-complete specimen was excavated in a Polish tar pit!
