Egyptian Bastet carvings for sale! These modern carvings, made from Brazilian obsidian, would make an incredible addition to any collection.

Known as Bast before the unification of ancient Egypt's cultures, she was originally the lioness warrior goddess of Lower Egypt.

Upon unification, Upper Egypt's warrior goddess Sekhmet usurped the role of Bast and she was transformed into Bastet - a powerful, protective, feminine deity and the goddess of cats.

Like the cats of Ancient Egypt, it was believed that she provided protection against evil spirits and contagious disease. Bastet was also the deity that represented the fertility of women and motherhood itself.

They measure ~5" tall and would make a great addition to any collection!

Price is per specimen and worldwide shipping is available.
