These dinosaurs lived in what is now Niger, Africa 125-113 million years ago (Early Cretaceous).
Suchomimus (meaning "crocodile mimic") was first described in 1998 and is in the spinosaurid genus. They have a long and shallow skull, loosely resembling a crocodile.
They reached 9.5-11 meters long, weighing up to 5.2 tonnes. It also had a low dorsal sail along its back, and likely preyed upon fish and other small animals.
