Bear Fossil Skull (Ex-Museum)

Real, partially-fossilized, bear skull segment for sale! Dating back to the Pleistocene, this Ice Age specimen measures ~5.5" long and was found in Nebraska.
This segment is the back of the skull, with the circular hole being the foramen magnum - where the spinal cord passes through and connects with the brain. The spine would have connected to the bone surrounding the hole.
The condition of this fossil gives a great opportunity to explore the internal structure of a bear's skull.
It has now been de-accessioned by the Prehistoria Museum to raise funds for operational and renovation expenses.
